Jonathan IveAcclaimed industrial designer Jonathan Ive has received a National Design Award from first lady Laura Bush. “Union of form and function has changed the way we peel potatoes and brush our teeth. Your design has made it more fun to go back in time and play oldies on our iPods,” said Mrs Bush, during the special ceremony held at the White House earlier on Wednesday.

Ive was recognized for his work at Apple, especially the iconic iPod, during the special ceremony held at the White House earlier on Wednesday. He is also credited with the design of the iPod Mini, iPod Nano and even the iPod Shuffle. The 40-year old is currently married to a historian and the father of twins; the family lives just outside San Fransisco.

From all of us at Appletell, congrats and keep it going!
