When Leopard was originally shown off at WWDC 2007, there were plenty of features shown off. Finder was upgraded, the Dock had an overhaul, Spaces was shown, among others. Although these will no doubt be some of the biggest features in Leopard, one of the most noticeable changes was the interface. They showed off the new dock, how the menu bar is now translucent, and the fact that they aren’t doing a new Aqua wallpaper.
Earlier this week, Apple gave developers new builds of OS X 10.5 and 10.5 Server, which would be Build 9A499. Think Secret has posted a few shots of some minor changes. The dock has changed in that in between the Applications and the Folders/Trash Can section, the divider instead of being a vertical line is now something that resembles a crosswalk. Also, the menu bar is polished so the icons go better with the new translucent menu bar.
There are two other noted interface changes. One being that the System Preferences icon, which previously was a light switch, is now resembling the Settings icon on the iPhone. The other change is in Finder, which you can now set to always “Show Path Bar” so you can find where the file is located at.
A feature addition in iChat was also added. Google Talk is now built-in, possibly because of the relationship between the two on the iPhone.
There are a few other changes mentioned in the article and Think Secret is also claiming that they will publish a full screenshot gallery “shortly.”
