Tiny Troopers coming to Mac and PC, sending zombies to iOS

It’s a tiny trooper kind of afternoon, I guess. Two separate press releases today: one announcing the iOS game is making its way to the Mac and PC on August 24th via Iceberg Interactive, and another announcing an endless zombie mode and lite version for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch from Chillingo.

For those unfamiliar with the game:

Tiny Troopers is a fast-paced and addictive squad-based action game in which players lead a team of cute but tough tiny soldiers on a modern battlefield from an isometric view. Guide them through 30 deadly missions with varied objectives: fight enemy infantry, destroy enemy armored formations, save hostages and eliminate enemy generals while sparing civilians and animals.

The casualty rate is going to be high but there will be an endless supply of fresh recruits to step up and fill the ranks. Those lucky troopers who survive from mission to mission will be promoted and each new stripe makes them a more veteran combatant. Reinforce teams with specialists like a machine gunner, medic or delta force and call in support drops. War might be hell, but this is the funniest way to fight in one!
