The official Facebook app has received an update, bringing it to v5.0. According to the company, the app has been completely rewritten to bring iOS users a different user-interface when viewing your news-feed, updating your profile, and and more.
Mick Johnson, Facebook iOS mobile product manager, said the team recoded the entire app from the ground up in objective+C, a far faster alternative to previously used HTML 5 language. As such, they claim the new Facebook application will be a vast significant improvement over the previous versions.
