Facebook has launched an update to their Facebook Messenger app for iOS devices, which allows users to chat with Facebook friends even when you’re away from your computer. The update comes on the heels of the release of the newly-redesign Facebook app for iOS, and brings the Messenger to version 1.9.
The new update includes a number of bug fixes and adds a few new capabilities, including full emoji support, one-click access to friends’ Facebook Timelines, and a new “last active” indicator to check whether a friend is still active.
Facebook Messenger is now available as a free download in the Apple’s App Store. The app is compatible with both the iPhone and iPod Touch.
