itunes logoApple hits the 3 billion download mark but that does not seem to stop either the good or bad from still coming. Currently Led Zeppelin is planning to join the iTunes store on November 12th. Unfortunately they are not planning on releasing the full catalog but simply a greatest hits collection called “Mothership”.

It will contain songs personally chosen by Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones and it said to include Stairway To Heaven, Whole Lotta Love and Dazed and Confused. The Led Zeppelin tracks will be a nice and welcome edition to the iTunes Store but I would suspect many if not all the fans will have the tracks being chosen, hopefully they will find a new audience with iTunes and expand the available collection.

Led Zeppelin finally gets into the iTunes Store and now Eminem is fighting to get out. Eminem, along with his copyright manager are claiming that Universal was never authorized to add his music to iTunes. They are asking Apple to cease and desist with any distribution. So far his music is still listed on the iTunes Store.
