Owlchemy Labs’ Jack Lumber for iOS brings out your inner lumberjack. Trees killed your beloved grandmother, and it’s time for you to take the battle to where they live.
Each level has a bunch of logs that you have to chop up by dragging your finger with the grain, not against the bark. Just be sure to avoid the cute forest animals, because they’re your friends. You’ll also be given tasks from your grandmother, who is able to tell you what to do even from beyond the grave.
The better you do, the more logs you collect. These can be used to buy power-ups that help you get even better scores in the tougher levels. You can also wear different beards for different powers, such as one that will give you more points but will reduce the time you have on each level. You’ll need to wear the right combination of beards to get the highest scores.
Once you save the cute forest animals, they’ll come to live with you in your cabin, which you’ll be able to decorate.
A lot of the challenge in Jack Lumber is when you start cutting. That’s because the logs are rotating and moving when they appear on each level. When you put your finger on the screen the logs stop moving. Each person will have a use a different strategy depending on the position of the logs when they start cutting.
