Apple announces new iPod nano and iPod touch

Apple announced new iPod nano and iPod touch models during today’s press event.
iPod touch
The iPod touch will incorporate the same larger 4″ screen as the new iPhone 5. The 5th generation model will also have the A5 processor, an improved 5-megapixel camera, and Siri support, while maintaining a light, thin design.
The iPod touch rear camera is now capable of 1080p video with image stabilization, allowing support for the iPhoto and iMovie iOS apps. The forward-facing FaceTime camera also has been upgraded with 720p video functionality. Apple is promising that the new iPod Touch battery will allow for over 40 hours of music playback and 8 hours of video.
The new iPod touch will come in five different colors and will be available starting in October at $299 (32GB) and $399 (64GB). Pre-orders for will begin September 14th.
iPod nano
The iPod nno was radically redesigned with a 2.5-inch multi-touch display, an iOS home button, integrated Bluetooth technology, and the smaller Lightning connector. The new model includes an FM tuner (with DVR-like functionality for pausing or rewinding) and built-in pedometer with support for Nike+ integration.
