Delays in availability of Apple’s Lightning adapters and cables

Apple has been taking pre-orders for Lightning adapters and USB cables for their iDevices, but there is apparently a bit of a delay in shipping, which is listed as “Ships in October.” Apple’s new Lightning to USB cable, originally listed as shipping in 1-3 business days, now reads to 2-3 weeks.
These new adapters are now available at Apple’s online store at $29 for the plug adapter and $39 for the short-cable adapter. Apple’s new $19 Lightning to USB charging cable is also available.
