This week on the Free Apps Roundup: You’ve had that iPhone 5 for a full week now, it’s about time you start using it to it’s fullest potential. Gyft is an app anyone running iOS 6 can use to convert physical gift cards into Passbook compatible ones. 3DP Case can help you order a custom 3D printed case. Netflix updated their app for the iPhone 5 screen, just like they said, and it’s great. All this and more.

The Top Three:

  • Gyft – If you have iOS 6 installed, you might be itching to get some use out of passbook. Not a lot of apps are on board yet, but Gyft is, and it’s pretty cool. What this app does is take the identification numbers from your gift cards and convert them into virtual gift cards that appear in Passbook. It’ll even keep track of your balances. It works with over 200 national retailers. You can even buy gift cards directly from the app.
  • 3DP Case – This is Sculpteo’s case customization app. With it, you can order your own customized case for iPhone 4/S or 5. You start with a base design, but can add text or even your facial profile. If you like what you see, you can order it and Sculpteo will 3D print it and send it along.
  • Netflix – As promised, the Netflix app has been updated for both iOS 6 and (more importantly) the iPhone 5’s taller screen. Now you can really make use of that screen and watch movies using every pixel of your iPhone 5. Glorious.

  • Instagram – This popular app has finally been updated for both iOS 6 and iPhone 5. The filters remain though.
  • NFL 2013 – This year’s version of the official NFL licensed free iOS football game.

Free for a limited time:

  • Calculus Doodle – It won’t integrate for you, but it will write out your calculations, doodle style.
  • ClearWeather – Yet another weather app. This one changes colors based on temperature, so you can instantly get a feel for the temperature outside by just glancing.
  • Talking Lila the Fairy – Ever wanted your own fairy? Who hasn’t? Lila is a fairy the size of a flower. She likes singing, casting spells and repeating things you say to her.
  • Talking Lila the Fairy for iPad – The same for iPad.
  • MapleStory Live Deluxe – Here’s a online RPG for iPhone. Maple World is in peril and guess who gets to save it? Yes, you.
  • Space Station: Frontier HD – A mysterious alien race is aiming to make your deep space mining operation not so peaceful in this tower defense space game.
  • Star Rover – Everyone should have a star map app. Here’s another option if you don’t already have one. It’ll help you find many interesting objects in the night sky.
  • Infinite Warrior – Epic battles against and endless onslaught of bloodthirsty enemies. The only way to stop them is with well-timed finger swipes…
  • Airspin – A super simple flight game. I wouldn’t call it realistic, but it’s fun.
  • Tiny Troopers – Control a tiny little platoon of soldiers and battle through the epic campaign with over 30 missions.
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 – Play against the pros in solo, head-to-head, or PGA TOUR modes. Then there’s Tiger Challenge and over 20 mini games, which could be very interesting indeed.
  • Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12 for iPad – The same, for iPad.
  • Adventure Bar Story – You know what’d be a great idea? If we opened a bar. Well, now you can. Virtually of course. It’s time to turn your sister’s shabby tavern into the most popular place in town. Apparently, you’ll need more than alcohol.
