Aspyr has announced the immediate availability of Call of Duty: Black Ops on the Mac. The first person shooter places players in the role of elite soldiers in a unit of troops fighting undercover “deniable” missions beyond the scope of the law. Kind of like The A-Team, only with more decapitations by rocket-propelled grenade.
You can purchase the game for $49.99 from the Mac App Store, Amazon, or via the Steam Store from Valve. Any way you get it will include not only the original game, but the First Strike DLC for free, which includes several multiplayer (Mac-to-Mac only, alas) maps and a “zombie” mode.
COD:BLOPS (and try not saying it like that) requires OS X 10.7.4, a 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB of RAM and 15 GB or disk space. You can purchase and download it now via the Aspyr Game Agent Store.
