Warm up your drawing finger and your imagination. Oh Snap! from Wubyu lets you safely deface your pictures with anything from pirate patches to posies.
Oh Snap! lets you connect with your buddies on Facebook for a little recreational primitive photo editing. Log in to your Facebook account and go head to head with your friends to see how many picture puzzles you can draw/solve. By the way, be sure you set your options carefully—you are posting stuff on Facebook as you play.
You can use your own images or pics you find in the public domain. The picture field is almost full screen so you have room to draw, and fingertip control is okay. You can also use a stylus for better control, but it will still look like you are drawing with a marker.
You do, of course, have five sizes from which to choose for your line weight, so if you need to fill in a block of color you can use the larger “points” so you aren’t scribbling forever. As you earn more points you gain access to more colors (black, white, red, yellow, green and blue). You also have an eraser (very handy) and a button to add a picture frame to give your creation that “hang me in the Louvre” look.
Once you are ready, just tap the DONE button.
If you like regular charades or Pictionary, etc., this game will be a descent dose of fun. You may not get a large color palette or fine control over your “artwork,” but this is just a game (and it was enough for Wubyu to turn our editor in chief into Flash Gordon, as seen at right).
I experienced several episodes of the app not loading and connecting properly, but when it is working, it’s fine.
The paid, ad-free version isn’t too expensive and you get to play along with your Facebook friends, so have fun.
And…hey, wait a minute, who gave me handlebar ‘stache?
