[Rumor] 13″ Retina MacBook images surface online

Some purported images of the 13″ Macbook Pro with Retina Display have surfaced online, according to reports. The photos appeared on the popular Chinese forum WeiPhone, known for many accurate leaks about previous Apple devices. The images show the unannounced 13″ MacBook Pro equipped with Apple’s new Retina Display and new ports. among other features.

According to the reports, the Retina MacBook Pro 13″ will have dual Thunderbolt I/O connector ports, as well as an SD card slot and HDMI out port very similar to the ones found on the 15″ models.

Other rumors suggest we could see new GPU improvements such as Intel’s Ivy Bridge processor. However, sources say we can expect the 13″ Pro model to come with Intel’s integrated graphics.

Regarding cost, 9to5Mac’s unidentified sources say Apple’s new 13″ Retina MacBook Pro will cost $1,699, with a higher-spec model costing a bit more.

Apple is expected to announce the 13″ Macbook Pro with Retina Display alongside the 7″ iPad Mini at their October 23rd media event. Rumors have also hinted of a Mac mini and iMac refresh.
