I was just checking the order status of my iPad mini from the Apple Store in Singapore and noticed it is now marked “shipped,” dated November 2. This is surprising because when I pre-ordered on October 26th, I was too late to get into the first run, so the Apple Store promised to deliver my iPad mini by November 11.
The same holds true for some of the members of the Philippine Mac Users Group forum who pre-ordered the iPad mini. Does this mean Apple has ample stock of iPad minis and that international online pre-orders didn’t meet expectations? Over in Singapore and Hong Kong, folks are having no problems getting their iPad minis. Will this be the same in the U.S.? We’ll find out soon enough.
In the meantime, I can’t wait to get hold of my iPad mini, especially after reading several favorable reviews early this week.
