LaCie’s recently announced P’9223 Slim SSD drive has 120 GB of storage that transfers files up to 400 MB/s over USB 3, yet it’s thinner than the newest MacBook Air. USB 3 allows for transferring files is up to 10 times faster than using USB 2, and you get even faster speeds using the latest MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Pro with Retina Display thanks to UAS (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) support.

Coming in at 30% thinner than the HD model, the P’9223 Slim SSD is only 11 mm or 0.43 inches thick, which means it’s easy to take it with you wherever you go. The sturdy aluminum case and rugged SSD construction mean it’s shock resistant, and your data is protected even if it falls to the ground.

The LaCie P’9223 Slim is available now in a 120 GB SSD model for $99.99 and a 500 GB HD model for $149.99.
