WalmartDoesn’t “best Black Friday ever” sound like a contradiction in terms? Yes, I understand what “Black Friday” means to retailers, but I still can’t help but think of what Black Sunday means to football fans every time I see it.

Anyway, as the holiday shopping season kicks into gear, Walmart has unviled its “best Black Friday assortment and pricing ever offered.” They’ve got hundreds of brand name electronics, toys, apparel, sporting goods and items for the home available during three events starting at 8 p.m. on November 22.

Because this is Appletell, and we know why you’re here, we’ll narrow it down to the good stuff, okay? For instance, Walmart guarantees that customers who are inside the store and in the line between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. local time on November 22 can purchase the Apple iPad 2 16GB with Wi-Fi for $399 and will get a $75 Walmart Gift Card. If the iPad sells out before 11 p.m. local time, Walmart will offer a Guarantee Card for the item which must be paid for by midnight and registered online. The product will then be shipped to the store where it was purchased for the customer to pick up before Christmas.
