iTunes Connect iconIf you’re a developer and you happened to overlook Apple’s latest email notification, you should be aware that the company will be shutting down its iTunes Connect service from Friday, December 21st to Friday the 28th, during which time access to the service and the ability to submit any apps or app updates will be unavailable.

As a result of the shutdown, initial releases on the App Store and pricing changes set through iTunes Connect will also be delayed. Apple recommends that developers not schedule pricing changes that would take effect during this 7-day period, as they will not take effect. While inconvenient, this is nothing new as Apple had shut down iTunes Connect for a week during the winter holidays last year as well, from December 22nd to the 29th.
