Unleash your creativity and add a few effects, adjust the exposure and saturation, or embed a variety of fonts to your photos using these free, top-rated photo editing and sharing apps. It’s useless to compare each one, but rather it’ll be helpful to combine the distinctive features of every app to express a thousand words in a single photo.

Adobe PhotoShop Express

Adobe recently updated its app to version 2.6.1, supporting the iPhone 5 and iOS 6 features. PS Express lets you edit your photos using simple gestures. The app includes the basic features of the original software such as crop, straighten, rotate and flip.

But you can also create vibrant photos with the filters, colours and a variety of effects and frames.

One of my favourite features is the Noise Reduction, which is only available via in-app purchase.

However, you can apply its effects by taking a screenshot while in preview mode.

Photo Editor by Aviary

Aviary’s Photo Editor is another stellar photo editing and sharing app I highly recommend to photo enthusiasts and hobbyists. Greatly praised by prominent Tech brands such as Mashable, LifeHacker, and USA Today, this is your one-stop photo editor with a clean intuitive user interface.

The app includes the basic options such as enhance, rotate, crop, sharpen, blur and many more, and you can also make fun of your photos with humorous stickers and stamps.

I love the cosmetic tools and stickers, and it’s not enough that you launch this file without exploring the other features; it also includes in-app purchases that unlock the effects and other features.

Add animations to your photos and create the cool designs using FotoRus’ pro edit, animegram, GIF and pic-in-pic features.

I love the Pic-in-Pic option where users can make some adjustments in both grounds for dramatic effects.

Create stunning photos with Pixlr-o-matic app. Add effects, and combine them with overlays and borders to get that vintage, stylish theme.

I love the filters; I give them two thumbs up. Pixlr-o-matic also includes in-app purchases to unlock other effects and borders.

Tiny Post

Last, but not least, Tiny Post is one of my highly recommended photo editing and sharing apps. The concept of Tiny Post is pretty simple. “You turn your photo into a story.” Write a caption and pick your favourite filter and font.

Tiny Post allow its users to share photos via Instagram. It’s easier to share your masterpiece to your friends and loved ones.

I know the list of quality photo apps is endless, so give me a shout out in the comments’ section if you find this list helpful or have another app to suggest.
