Sometimes less is more, but sometimes less is less, too. Adobe has announced immediate availability of Adobe Photoshop Touch 1.4, with optimizations for the iPad mini and other tablets with seven inch screens, like the Google Nexus 7. With an interface better designed to support smaller displays, a few key enhancements, and a host of bug fixes, this is a great upgrade for existing users and a pretty attractive package for new users.
Enhancements in version 1.4 include:
- Support for three models of pressure-sensitive stylus, including the Pogo Connect, Jot Touch, and JaJa products.
- Enhanced performance and expanded workflow options including a new color picker, smoother brush stroke tracking, and added effects including Lens Flare.
- Enhanced sharing options that allow you to post completed projects directly to Facebook or Twitter in-app.
Photoshop Touch is available from the iTunes App Store for iOS devices. Android tablet owners can check out Google Play or the Amazon Appstore, including support for the Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD tablets. The app is a free upgrade for existing Photoshop Touch users, and is only $9.99 for new users.
