I’ve been reading a lot of good stuff about a Mac calendar app called Fantastical, but never tried it out because it’s too pricey in the Mac App Store. Now, however, Fantastical has made its way into the App Store for a mere $1.99, and I just might get it to run on my iPhone.

If you’ve been looking for a great calendar app with tons of nice features, or if you’re among those who’ve used Fantastical on your Mac, you might want to take a look at the new iOS version; its description claims it’s the friendliest and fastest calendar app. You can type in an event description and the app will immediately schedule the event. Even better, you can also dictate the event description to your iPhone and the app will work its wonders.

Fantastical also features a beautiful interface, DayTicker, event list, search facility for looking up specific events, and, for devices running iOS6, it has the facility to view and manage Facebook events.

Other features of Fantastical include:

  • Supports the same calendar services as the built-in Calendar app: iCloud, Google Calendar, Exchange, and more
  • Fantastical is fully localized in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish
  • Just type or speak your event in any of these languages and Fantastical will automatically understand

So, grab Fantastical now from the App Store and tell us whether you feel it’s worth spending $1.99 for this app.
