You may not know Susan Kare’s name, but you’ve certainly seen her work if you’ve ever owned a Mac. She designed the Command symbol that’s on each and every Apple keyboard, as well as many other Apple icons, and now you can own her book ICONS with the Smiling Mac art print as a beautiful gift for this year’s holiday season. It’s a limited edition run and each is signed. If you want one, you’d better hurry, because they’re only making 500 sets which will sell for $99.

Kare has been described by the New York Times as the Betsy Ross of the personal computer. She takes pixels and makes them into the icons we can recognize. But more than that, her icons have become art. She designed many Apple icons including the bomb, the watch cursor, the smiling macintosh (featured above) and many more. Intrigued?
