Following the addition of several photo filters a week ago, the Flickr iPhone app has just been updated anew. The new features are based on “user feedback,” and the app’s release note says it now easily lets you share photos on Facebook, and you can receive notifications when your Facebook friends start using Flickr.
The Flickr app also gives you better visibility of the status of photo uploads and helps you easily find your Twitter contacts on Flickr. This feature was previously available for Instagram until Twitter decided to pull it out. Will Twitter do the same for Flickr? We have yet to find out.
Other features pushed to the updated Flickr app for iOS include:
new notification when someone comments on a photo you’ve also commented on
fixed issues with Google sign-in
the usual round of bug fixes
So, have you forsaken Instagram and are now using the improved Flickr instead?
