Provides: Protection for iPad mini Developer:Cygnett Minimum Requirements: iPad Mini Price: $19.99 Availability: Now
The last Cygnett case in our review line-up happens to be the simplest of them all, and it’s called the Cygnett FlexiGel iPad mini case. This case suits those who prefer to have a flexible and soft case to protect the back portion of the iPad mini. It’s very minimalistic and thankfully does not add too much bulk to the ultra-thin form factor. But don’t worry, because the thinness does not undermine this case’s ability to protect your device.
The Cygnett FlexiGel is a jelly-type case that perfectly fits the iPad mini. It has all the necessary port and sensor cutouts, as well as button overlays for its lock and volume buttons. What I like about these cutouts is that they are all nicely crafted and you won’t notice any imperfections on their edges.
Although this case does not support Apple’s Smart Cover, you don’t have to worry about scratching your iPad mini’s screen when placed face down as the shell exceeds the iPad mini’s face by a few millimeters. Of course, this case is impact resistant and will be able to protect your iPad Mini from accidental minor drops and bumps.
The Cygnett FlexiGel iPad Mini case is available only in blue and black; hopefully, Cygnett will consider coming out with more color variants as this type of case certainly needs more funky color designs.
Bottomline is that if you’re okay with having a protective case without a stand and screen protection, the Cygnett FlexiGel will suit your needs well. It’s soft and comfortable to hold and grip, provides ample protection for your iPad mini, and comes in at a very affordable $19.99. Check out Cygnett’s website for availability.
