There are many things to celebrate and be grateful for this year, but for jailbreakers and hackers, it’s time to say goodbye to one of the most popular iOS cracked communities: Hackulous. The website shut down yesterday.

A message was posted on their website:

Goodnight, sweet prince.

We are very sad to announce that Hackulous is shutting down. After many years, our community has become stagnant and our forums are a bit of a ghost town. It has become difficult to keep them online and well-moderated, despite the devotion of our staff. We’re incredibly thankful for the support we’ve had over the years and hope that new, greater communities blossom out of our absence.
With lots of love,
Hackulous Team

Along with Hackulous, App Trackr (a web-based indexed of cracked apps) and Installous (an app that was used to download cracked apps) also shut down.

Could it be possible that the reason behind the shut down is just that there is no iOS 6 jailbreak coming soon?

What do you think?
