PowerSkin has unveiled two new battery cases for the latest Apple’s iPhone 5.

The first is called PowerSkin Pro, and features a hard plastic layer with an outer soft-to-touch shell that should provide greater protection against drops and scratches. The PowerSkin Pro features a 2,000 mAh battery pack built inside its shell, and has an external LED indicator to help users quickly determine how much power remains. The PowerSkin Pro will be available in white, black, titanium, red, and pink.

The second option is the PowerSkin Battery Case, which features a powerful 1,500 mAh battery pack inside its soft cover, giving users an extra 6 hours of talk time and 8 hours on Wi-Fi. This case will also feature an LED battery level indicator along with an off/on switch to conserve battery life when needed.

These new iPhone 5 battery cases will be available by the end of January. The company hasn’t yet provided pricing details at the time of this writing, but prices for currently available PowerSkin battery cases indicate the new models will probably cost around $49 to $79 dollars each.
