Kickstarter is quickly coming the new best friend to OS X and iOS gamers. Your latest case in point? Akaneiro: Demon Hunters. The action RPG for PC and Mac raised $204,680 in pledges, meaning the Spicy Horse development team (helmed by American McGee) can devote more resources to co-op gameplay, crafting, Linux support, and the much-anticipated iOS and Android versions.
During the Kickstarter campaign, Spicy Horse went to the players to determine what features they wanted to see next. The answer, apparently, was co-op and crafting first, followed by Linux and tablet (iOS/Android) support. Looks like we’ll get them all.
“Over the coming weeks, we’ll be taking a look at what it takes to implement these features and get them out in a timely manner,” said Spicy Horse CEO American McGee. “We’ve also still got contributions coming in on the Paypal page, which may influence which features wind up where on the plan.”
Akaneiro: Demon Hunters is now available for play via Kongregate and SpicyWorld at www.angry-red.com for PC and Mac platforms.
