Bluetune Bluetooth Speaker

One of the more interesting audio accessories we saw at Macworld/iWorld 2013 was Divoom’s Bluetune Solo portable Bluetooth speakers. Compact portable speakers are nothing new, but when you add the ability to daisy chain them and provide a built-in microphone for hands free calls, that’s something new, then, isn’t it.

The Bluetune Solo speakers features an X-Bass sound system that actually does provide a decent amount of bass (I could hear it quite well on the expo show floor). If I’d stuck around long enough, perhaps I could’ve also tested the claimed 8 hour battery life between rechargings.

In addition to providing on-the-go wireless music with Bluetooth devices, smartphones, tablets, laptops and more, Bluetune-solo also lets you daisy-chain multiple Divoom speakers with other wired speakers, including home theater, PC or other HiFi speakers to create a virtual surround sound at a low price. Daisy chaining Bluetune-solo speakers is quick and easy through their stereo audio-out jack. The speakers are compact, approximately the size of small 1/2 can of soda, and easily fit into a backpack or purse.

Available now, the Divoom Bluetune-solo Bluetooth compact speakers will run $49.90 at and other retailers. The speaker is available in red, blue, orange, white, and slate.
