iLectric Piano app for iPadYou might be all set with your iRig KEYS keyboard for iOS devices, but that doesn’t mean you have enough virtual instruments to play with it just yet. That’s why IK Multimedia released iLectric Piano for iPad. It’s an app with over 40 virtual classic pianos, electric grands and clavinets. They’re really trying to recreate the gamut of classic electric piano sounds you’ve probably heard on countless hit songs.

iLectric Piano’s collection of virtual instruments includes models based on Rhodes and Wurlitzer instruments. There are three different models based on Hohner instruments, one based on the Yamaha DX-7, one on the Yamaha CP-70 and a model on the Kawai version of an electric grand.

All of these virtual instruments sound great thanks to an ultra-low latency engine and the fact that each model was built by multi-sampling the originals at multiple velocities. But the fun doesn’t stop there. This app can also apply up to four of the following effects including: EG, Reverb, Overdrive, Chorus, Flanger, Tremolo, Phaser, and AutoPan. You can also record your performances then export them as WAV or m4a audio files for sharing.

You can download iLectric Piano for iPad now on the App Store for $19.99. If you want to add 22 more piano sounds to the app, you can make the in app purchase for the Electric Piano Expansion Pack for an additional $9.99.
