Hit the Sith Jackpot with Star Wars Pinball

Okay, my interest in Star Wars may have ended about 35 minutes into Return of the Jedi, but my interest in pinball rages on. This is why I want to let you Zen Studios is making an entire franchise of Star Wars pinball tables available across multiple platforms this month as either Zen Pinball 2 DLC or stand-alone apps.

Each table features a different iconic moment from the Star Wars universe, with interactive 3D characters, and unique gameplay. There will be a total of ten themed pinball tables in the Star Wars Pinball collection.

The first pack of tables includes Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This pack will arrive thus:

• Pinball FX2™ on Xbox LIVE® Arcade – February 27th for 800 MSP
• Zen Pinball 2™ on PlayStation®Network for PlayStation 3 & PlayStation Vita with Cross Buy entitlement. Purchase once and play on both systems – February 26th in North America for $9.99, February 27th in Europe for €9.99
• Zen Pinball 2 on the Mac®App Store – February 27th for $2.99/table
• Zen Pinball on the Apple®App Store – February 27th for $1.99/table
• Zen Pinball HD Google Play™ – February 27th for $1.99/table

The press release states that Star Wars Pinball will release as a standalone application on for iPhone and Android. Not sure about Android, but considering Zen Pinball is already available iPhone, iPad and iPod touch with plenty of tables available via in-app purchase, and considering its description in the iTunes store states that “Star Wars Pinball is coming soon!”, hopefully a separate app purchase won’t, in fact, required.
