So, it’s come to this. I’m posting an article about new images for Witcher 3, a game that has not officially been announced for Macintosh. Enjoy your concept art that in no way represents an actual screenshot, nerds! There are a couple more shots below the cut, and no, they do not show off scantily clad elves or sorceresses.
In the Witcher series, you play Geralt, a magic-and-sword-wielding mercenary who runs around the medieval world, slaying monsters, casting spells, and hunting around the hedge for herbs. Believe it or not, I actually liked the second game, and you can read the Appletell review here. The new concept art shows off “the chilly islands of Skellige, one of the lands the players will visit during their adventures.”
Also, we’re pleased to announce this exclusive*: Witcher 3 will—repeat, will—feature a horse!
The horse no doubt has an edgy backstory featuring a tragic past.
The press release promises “The Witcher 3 will be available in 2014 for all high-end platforms**, including PlayStation 4.”

* Not exclusive.
** No one considers Macintosh to be a high-end platform.
