Runaway: A Twist of Fate for iOS comes out this month [updated]

Last fall, BulkyPix turned Pendulo Studios’ PC adventure game Runaway: A Road Adventure into an iOS hidden object game called Hidden Runaway. If you didn’t check it out, you may want to now; it’ll do a good job of recapping the tale of Brian and Gia before they continue their adventure in Runaway: A Twist of Fate, coming to iOS March 28th.

Runaway: A Twist of Fate for iOS forgoes the hidden object approach to bring back the classic point and click adventure interface and inventory-based puzzle gameplay of the original PC series.

I’d say we’re also back to the same crazy characters, dark story and humorous dialogue, but we never really left that, did we?

As for the story:

Accused of murdering Colonel Kordsmeier, Brian fakes his own death to escape his sentence. Alongside his loyal partner Gina, there’ll be plenty of investigation (and a good dose of humorous repartee) needed in order to prove Brian’s innocence.

Dive into a dark-yet-humorous adventure with graphics worthy of the best 2D animation movies. Also, for the first time in the Runaway series, the adventure takes on a feminine point-of-view: you’ll have the opportunity to play as Gina!

Runaway: A Twist of Fate will feature 12+ hours of sleuthing and puzzle solving. In fact, the game is being split into two parts “because of its size.” Part one will drop on March 28th, and will cost $4.99 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad gamers. Part two is listed as “coming soon.”
