Sleekon—makers of one of my favorite glow-in-the-dark iPhone cases—is back at it converting nostalgia into iPhone cases. This time they’re combining their sleek snap-on iPhone protection with the fun of color changing shirts and disappearing coffee mug pictures. If you were a child of the ’90s and remember Hypercolor shirts or have ever visited a tourist trap, you’ve definitely seen these things, so why not bring the fun to your iPhone?

Now You See It

Unlike the aforementioned t-shirts or coffee mugs, Sleekon’s new Photochromic iPhone cases don’t change color based on heat. They rely instead on UV radiation, which isn’t quite as dangerous as it sounds. The sun’s natural light is what triggers the color change, so your phone’s case design will change once you’ve been outside for a little while.

These fun cases include stark black and white designs that display a sudden splash of color, and some minimal designs that go full color when exposed to sunlight. There’s even a case sure to make fans of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy happy (on the left in the pictures below):

Available in your choice of eight designs, the Sleekon Photochromic iPhone cases run $29 just like their Luminous counterparts. Check out Sleekon’s store for the full selection.
