Google has updated their Google Search app for iOS, adding Google Now and support for iPad. iPhone users will be able to enjoy the full experience of Google’s digital assistant right on their iOS devices, a feature previously exclusive to Android users running the Jelly Bean operating system.
With the inclusion of Google Now, users can now get traffic and weather updates, flight information, and information about sports teams and the latest breaking news, for example. Google Now can also use your phone’s location to provide traffic condition updates before you leave home for your workday commute.
The Google Search app will allow users to customize the Google Now app settings, providing more control of what information is most important to users.
The Google Search app requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later, and is now available for free on the iOS App Store.
