Deus Ex: The Fall

I was able to spend some quality time with Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal’s Deus Ex: The Fall at E3 last month, and named it Best iOS Game of E3 2013. I’m happy to let you know you’ll now get your chance to play the game this Thursday, July 11th, when it arrives in the App Store for your iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

And lest you think I was seduced by the shiny lights and pleasant tones the Square Enix booth display, Deus Ex: The Fall went home with a total of seven “Best Mobile/iOS Game” awards at E3 2013.

Deus Ex: The Fall was developed by Square Enix’s Mobile division in Europe in collaboration with the original Deus Ex: Human Revolution team at Eidos-Montréal and N-Fusion. If you enjoyed that game on consoles and Mac/PC, you’ll very much want to dig deeper into the story on your iOS device (meaning some will have to finally let go of their preconceived notions and embrace mobile gaming for what it has become).

As for that story…

Deus Ex: The Fall is set in 2027– a golden era for science, technology and human augmentation, but also a time of great social divide and global conspiracy. Powerful corporations have seized control from governments and command the drug supply needed by augmented humans to survive. In this chaos, Ben Saxon, a former British SAS Mercenary who underwent physical augmentation, is desperate for the truth behind the drug conspiracy. Betrayed by his private military employers, the Tyrants, not only is his own life at risk, but for all augmented humans, time is running out.

Deus Ex: The Fall will run you $6.99, and will be compatible with iPad 2 and above, iPhone 4S and above, and iPod Touch 5 and above. For more information, visit
