It seems Best Buy is trying to increase its customer base by launching yet another promotion, this time an iPad trade-in program. A few weeks ago, Best Buy launched an iPhone trade-in program that allowed customers to trade in their iPhone 4/4S for up to $150, which meant they were essentially getting an iPhone 5 for free.

This latest iPad trade-in program is giving customers the option to trade in their old 2nd and 3rd generation iPads for a $200 gift card which can be used towards anything in the store, even a new 4th generation iPad. The amount Best Buy will give for the iPad depends entirely on the condition of the device, which means customers could potentially make more if their devices are in excellent condition. Best Buy will recycle all of the tablets after they complete the transaction with customers.

The trade-in program begins on Friday, July 12th, and will last two full days. Best Buy noted they decided to launch this program after the iPhone program was deemed successful. This is a great way for Best Buy to drive customers into its stores to purchase products, especially because they are offering a gift card, which can only be used in the store.
