Apple has been quite busy this week releasing betas to registered developers. Amongst them is a new beta of the next version of iTunes. iTunes v11.1 appears to be a minor update which brings support for iOS 7 and Apple’s upcoming iTunes Radio. Previously, developers were only able to test iTunes Radio on a device running iOS 7.
For those unaware of Apple’s new iTunes Radio, it will give users new ways to discover music directly through iTunes (similarly to Pandora) by creating new stations based on a specific artist or a song.
iTunes Radio is rumored to be released this fall along with iOS 7, and will offer free, ad-supported streaming to all users. Subscribers to Apple’s iTunes Match service will able to use iTunes Radio ad-free.
