A new music streaming/music curating services has just debuted on the iTunes App Store: Radical.FM iOS app. Challenging the likes of Pandora, Spotify and even Apple’s own iTunes Radio, Radical.FM sets itself apart by providing users with the ability to create customized radio listening experiences. This is done by way of mixing professionally curated music genres.
Radical.FM boasts of 25 million song catalog which includes online rarities such as songs from The Beatles, AC/DC, Bob Seger and more. These rare tracks are curated into logical genres, bringing forth a more organized and better way of curating them. The app’s mixer feature lets users tune personal stations to reflect musical tastes with more control than any existing radio service.
According to Radical.FM, its iOS app is a complete music and audio content delivery service. It does not “guess” what you might like based on song choices and subjective computer parameters. What it does instead is divide its library into genres and lets you blend as many as desired and assign each a value relative to the others. What’s good about this so-called genre blending is that you can change it instantly, allowing you to create an endless stream of the kind of music that you want to hear.
If you want to give Radical.FM iOS app a try, it’s available now as a free download from the iTunes App Store.
