irig proToday, IK Multimedia has announced yet another new iRig. This time it’s called the iRig PRO, and it combines the best features of other accessories offered by IK Multimedia. The iRig PRO does much more than just act as an audio interface for your guitar. It has a high-quality 1/4″ XLR combo input connector complete with a 48V phantom power supply. That means it’ll take audio from your guitar, bass, mic, or even a studio condenser microphone. As if that wasn’t enough of an upgrade on its own, the iRig PRO can interact with your MIDI devices as well. To top it all off, it’ll work with your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

The iRig PRO really is like a mini studio that fits in your pocket. It accepts virtually every type of audio you can plug into it, which includes 1/4″ and XLR connectors. And while the device is fully powered from its digital connection (30 pin iPod connector, Lightning, or USB), it houses a 9V battery for studio condenser microphones that require the 48V phantom power supply. It has a high-quality 24-bit A/D converter, preamp gain control, and LED indicators for various things. iRig PRO also comes with a MIDI cable to connect to the widest variety of MIDI-compatible keyboards and controllers. Basically, if you can plug it in, iRig PRO will make it work.

In addition to the hardware goods, iRig PRO includes exclusive AmpliTube gear, SampleTank sounds, AmpliTube Custom Shop for Mac, and more.

If your wallet has already found its way to your hands, you can preorder an iRig PRO from IK Multimedia for $149.99. You can expect to see it ship sometime this month.
