Sonny Dickson has become quite popular in the past few months. The guy has leaked a number of unreleased Apple products and manages to get his hands on the components of the devices before they are assembled, thanks to his sources in Apple’s supply chain. Recently, he leaked another set of images of what appears to be the rear panel of iPad 5 with a fully functional iPad 4 on top to give us a clear picture of the design of the upcoming iPad.

We can see the upcoming iPad is expected to be thinner than previous models. The purported iPad 5 features a similar screen size, but there is a significant change in the left and right bezel around the display of the tablet. It seems more like the iPad mini design to me. The headphone jack, power button and volume rocker keys stay at the same position as previous models.

Apple has scheduled a press event tomorrow where the company is expected to unveil the refreshed iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, along with iOS 7. There is no news of Apple will unveil the next-generation iPad at the event, but rumors suggest they will schedule a separate event in October to announce the iPad 5 along with the iPad mini 2.

All we need to do is wait a few hours to see what Apple has planned for us. Stay tuned to AppleTell for full coverage.
