As we’ve come to expect before Apple media events, the online Apple Stores has locked its doors and put newspaper over the windows. That means they’re prepping new items for sale or decorating for prom.
It’s unlikely the new iPhones—the upgraded iPhone 5S and the low-cost iPhone 5C—will be available for preorder today, so that means we’re getting an upgrade elsewhere, or perhaps something entirely new. Of course, it could also be that they’re just redesigning the interface. I’ve had enough with speculation at this point, and see no reason to do so just hours before a launch anyway. But if you thought your wallet was safe at least until this Friday when Apple is expected to open iPhone preorders, you may be out of luck.
