Supplies of the iPhone 5s were constrained for weeks after it was released, but ship times are finally starting to improve.
On the first day of sales, on September 20th, the iPhone 5s could not be found anywhere, and online sales prompted a 3 week wait (even those that ordered within minutes of the device going on sale, like myself).
The iPhone 5s is now available in all colors and capacities in the United States, Canada, and the Pacific, and has a shipping time of 2-3 weeks. All carriers will reportedly have the iPhone within these times, which means customers will be receiving their devices in late October or early November. This is great news for customers who have been waiting to upgrade their devices and have ordered their devices online.
Supplies have been constrained for the iPhone 5s, though the iPhone 5c supplies remain readily available. This is the normal product cycle for most Apple products, and likely what will happen with the new iPads that are announced later this month. In a few more weeks, Apple’s iPhone 5s ship times will drop from 2-3 weeks to 1 week, and will likely drop to 24 hours by the time the holiday season kicks off.
