Apple unveiled the long-rumored iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display yesterday. The new iPad Air is expected to hit the shelves starting November 1st, while there’s no exact launch date for the iPad mini with Retina. The new iPad Air with Cellular data starts at $629 for the 16GB models, and offers a storage space of up to 128GB.
The iPad with WiFi + Cellular connectivity supports various U.S. carriers who offer data plans for cellular connectivity. If you’re planning to get the new iPad, you may want to check out T-Mobile as your option; the carrier is offering 200MB free data with purchase of the cellular model. No other carrier is offering a plan with free data, so this might give a good edge to T-Mobile over its rivals.
Along with the 200MB free data, T-Mobile users who want more cellular data can purchase 2.5GB for $30, while 4.5GB comes with a $40 per month price tag. Data plans from AT&T starts from $14.99 per month for 250MB data (simply outrageous), while Sprint and Verizon are offering 1GB data for $14.99 and $20, respectively.
