When I mention mice and the 2014 Winter Olympics, you probably think I’m talking about the hotel conditions in Sochi, Russia. Not so! I’m talking about Logitech’s Global Fan Collection of flag-inspired designs for the popular M317 Wireless Mouse.

Logitech actually did a pretty good job with these designs, as they’re not just flags printed over the mouse. Rather, they get creative with the flag colors and  imagery to create rather interesting effects. Would it be okay if I bought the Mexico mouse and just said it’s kind of the colors of my favorite NHL hockey team?

As for the mouse itself, the M317 uses Logitech’s Advanced Optical Tracking for precise navigation, and offers comfortable, contoured rubber grips for easy use. The Logitech Unifying receiver provides a powerful, reliable wireless connection of up to 25 meters without the need for a Bluetooth connection.

Now, what confuses me is that although the press release boasts of 14 flags (and shows them all), the website is currently only taking orders for the U.S., Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. I suppose that could be a regional thing, but come on…can’t an American be proud of his German heritage and want everyone in the office to know it?
