F1 2013

With Feral Interactive, you can always count to two things. You can count on them providing a bunch of high quality Mac games each year, and you can count on at least couple of those being racing games. This year’s racing season begins with F1 2013, the FORMULA 1 racing simulation video game that will be released for the Mac on March 6th.

F1 2013—developed and published by Codemasters for consoles and PC—offers Mac gamers the all the thrills of the 2013 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. This includes all the cars, stars and circuits from the 2013 season.

And for long-time F1 fans, Codemasters now offers the ability to race classic cars on iconic circuits in a new game mode called F1 Classics.

Additional content will be available in a premium edition of the video game, F1 2013: Classic Edition, which contains two DLC packs. The 1990s Content pack contains six classic cars, three each from the Ferrari and Williams teams, and lets players drive them as 1990s legends, including Damon Hill and Michael Schumacher. The Classic Track pack contains two additional tracks: Imola and Estoril, respectively the historic homes of the San Marino GRAND PRIX™ and the Portuguese GRAND PRIX.

All digital copies of the game purchased from anywhere other than Steam will be F1 2013: Classic Edition, while all boxed copies will be the standard edition of F1 2013. Players who purchase the game from Steam will be able to choose between the standard version of F1 2013 and F1 2013: Classic Edition. Players who purchase the standard edition of F1 2013 (either boxed or through Steam) can upgrade their game with the DLC packs via digital download.

Come the 6th, you’ll want to shop around before buying the game on the Mac App Store. Copies purchased elsewhere will support 16-player cross-platform multiplayer using SteamPlay for those with a Steam account. Copies purchased from the Mac App Store, however, will support offline split-screen multiplayer only.

F1 2013 for Mac will retail in North America for US $49.99, £29.99 (inc. VAT) in the UK and €44.99 (inc. VAT) throughout Europe. F1 2013: Classic Edition for the Mac will retail in North America for US $64.99, £39.99 (inc. VAT) in the UK and €49.99 (inc. VAT) throughout Europe.
