Untold Legends

See, I’ve been so busy playing Blackguards that I completely whiffed on telling you about the DLC announcement from last week. On March 4th, Daedalic will release Untold Legends, offering more battles, additional quests and new story elements. Blackguards will also get an important update that brings important balancing improvements.

The Untold Legends DLC spotlights the history of Takate, the former slave and arena fighter who joined the player’s party in Chapter 2 of Blackguards. We’ll learn how Takate became a slave gladiator, and—more importantly—get the chance to take revenge on all the slavers. Untold Legends will also offer new weapons, several new quests, more than 10 new battle maps and 25 previously unreleased music tracks. All this for only $5.99 via Steam, GOG, the official Mac App Store and Gamesrocket. Customers who purchased a the retail editions of Blackguards can acquire the DLC through

Untold Legends

Of course, those who purchased the Blackguards Contributor’s Edition via Steam will receive this first DLC automatically and for free.

As for the update:

Simultaneously with the Untold Legends DLC, Daedalic releases patch 1.3 for the original Blackguards game. The patch will majorly improve the game’s balancing system, giving players better insights into their characters’ hit chances, and how to improve these. Showing the Hit Chance during battles is no longer depending on the talents Warcraft and Animal Lore, so players will always know the odds when choosing among normal- and special attacks. Also, the new patch will now allow to display a full battle log, including all dice rolls, to allow full transparency of all events while in combat.

Customers, who purchased the Blackguards Contributor’s or Deluxe Editions will receive the DLC’s 25 previously unreleased music tracks for free when installing patch 1.3, even when not purchasing the DLC.

Blackguards is available now for Mac and PC for $39.99, with a Deluxe Edition running $59.99. For more information, visit
