Reaping may burn a lot of calories, but it doesn’t make you many friends (although it might just get you melvined). It’ a good thing you have a handy dandy test lab where you can build some buddies.
What is it?
As your lab develops and builds new Deadlings, you have to test them, right? Now we get to run all your new friends through an obstacle course full of spike pits and saw blades. If they learn to jump and crawl and fly so they don’t die (again), they can go on to the next test. If not, well, we can get some soap and water for the red bits.
You have more than one kind of Deadling, and some of the courses will require the skills of different types to gather the brains, open the doors, etc., and make it to the end of the course.
How does it work?
To navigate the courses you will mostly need a simple tap command. For one type of Deadling, tap means jump; for another, it means pass some poo gas to rocket you through the air. As you progress through the many levels you may want to engage in a little strategic planning regarding Deadling choice and the path you want to take to achieve the goal.
There is some mild cartoon gore (run into a saw blade and your Deadling gets cut up and the blade gets bloody). The graphics are fairly cartoonish and well rendered.
Is it contagious?
There are plenty of levels, enough challenge to keep you coming back for more, and zombies eating brains (and who doesn’t like a little pâté de frontal lobe?). The game provides upgraded abilities as you advance to make life (um, undeath?) a little more bearable. This game is a whopping $1.99, and if you are into obstacle course games it is well worth it.
