The last in the series of Trident Cases we are reviewing is the Aegis iPad Air case. Like its iPhone counterpart, the Trident Aegis iPad Air case is also slim and lightweight despite providing two-layers of protection—an inner-layer made of shock-absorbing silicone material and an outer-layer made of hardened polycarbonate.

Trident Aegis iPad Air

The Trident Aegis iPad Air case comes with silicone plugs that protect the power ports and audio-jacks of your iPad Air from dirt and debris. It also has dust filters that protect the speaker bays. And yes, you’ll get a self-applicable screen protector which is very easy to apply. This screen protector does not in any way reduce the sensivity of the iPad Air screen.

As for its plastic materials, they are recyclable, degradable and compostable, having been made from bio-enhanced plastic materials. The case also passed the Military Standard MIL-STD-810F for vibration and drops, so you are pretty much assured it gives your beloved iPad Air optimum protection. And yet, as mentioned, the Aegis iPad Air case will not add too much bulk to the thin form factor of the iPad Air.

Overall, we highly recommend the Aegis iPad Air case, especially if you’re looking for a case that really protects your device.
