Macworld/iWorld 2014 hasn’t even started yet…well, at least the show floor hasn’t open. But after stopping by the First Looks display in Moscone Center North—where we got demos for great looking apps from KiwiPixel and MotionPortrait (more to come on both throughout the week)—it was on our way back out of Moscone that we caught the first item we wanted to let you know about: Macworld/iWorld 2015 will again be held in March.
Originally, I kind of figured this year’s late March date was an anomaly…the result of originally scheduling the show the first weekend of February (Saturday the 1st through Monday the 3rd, to be precise). It was odd timing—a Macworld weekender, over the Super Bowl, no less. But it was rather quickly pushed to the dates we’re at now; March 27-29, over the more standard Thursday-Saturday timeframe.
Next year’s event will still be a Thursday-Saturday show, this time running from March 12th through the 14th. No word on location yet, of course, but if it’s as crowded around here next year as it is now (both Moscone Center South and West have events going on right now), I imagine we’ll remain the North Hall.
It’s probably a little early to mark your calendars. We’ve got an entire show ahead of us this year, in fact, starting with the media reception tonight. We’ll be getting some more previews there, and will let you know what we think is the best of the bunch. Also be sure to join us throughout the week for product peeks, show floor videos, and more.
