Apple previously introduced the security feature for its users, but it was available in only 11 countries. Now, Apple has added plethora of countries to the list where users can activate two-step verification, bringing the total number to 59.

Two step verification is an added security measure in which you receive a verification code on the registered mobile number upon log-in. Along with the username and password, the four-digit code is required to access the account. In Apple’s case, the feature also makes use of iOS’s Find my iPhone feature, in addition to the SMS.

If you’re not using it, it’s recommended to enable the feature right away from Apple ID page. Actually, you should not only enable it for your Apple ID, but for any other online account which supports the extra security measure.

The full list of supported countries can be seen at Apple support page.
