It looks like the rumored 12-inch iPad might be true after all. That is, of course, if you are counting on the credibility of Bloomberg, which just published a report saying Apple might launch the bigger iPad in 2015. Citing credible sources who don’t want to be known (for obvious reasons), the new iPad will have a 12.9-inch screen, to be exact.
The new iPad will have a screen measuring 12.9 inches diagonally, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the details aren’t public. Apple currently produces iPads with 9.7-inch and 7.9-inch displays. The Cupertino, California-based company has been working with suppliers for at least a year to develop a new range of larger touch-screen devices, said the people.
Rumors about Apple coming out with a much bigger iPad started as early as 2013. In fact, the new iPad has already earned the monicker, “iPad Pro” owing to the fact that it will be bigger than the current 7.9-inch iPad mini and 9.7-inch iPad Air.
Bloomberg also suggests this move was brought about by the decline in sales of its current models of iPad. Apple wants to “shake up the iPad line,” and hopes the bigger iPad will be able to do so.
All that being said, how does 12-inch iPad appeal to you? Can you imagine yourself owning one if it does comes out next year? Share your thoughts with us via the comment below.
